How it works
What happens between a transaction and owning stock.
The big picture
- 1
You trade like you always do
Swap on Uniswap, deposit to Hyperliquid, buy a position on Polymarket, mint an NFT, bridge, send a friend some ETH. On any of the 10 chains. It doesn't have to go through our app, only through one of your Centurion wallets.
- 2
We detect and round up
Each outflow is priced in USD and rounded up to the next dollar. Pay $4.35, that's $0.65 of spare change. A round-up shows up a few blocks later, once the chain is safe to read.
- 3
Spare change collects in one pot
Whichever chain the payment was on, the round-up is credited to your pot on Robinhood Chain straight away. It waits there, withdrawable any time. Nothing is invested yet.
- 4
At your threshold, $10 by default, we buy your stocks
Your chosen stocks are bought in one purchase on Robinhood Chain, whichever chains the spare change came from.
- 5
Stock Tokens land in your wallet
They go straight to your wallet, yours to hold, sell, or transfer.
What counts as spending?
Anything that moves value out of an enrolled wallet on any of the 10 chains: transfers, swaps, NFT mints, DeFi deposits, perp-exchange deposits, prediction-market positions, bridges. Gas does not count, and neither do payments to Centurion's own contracts (a deposit, a capture). A Trade-page swap is rounded up inside the swap itself, so it is never counted twice. If a transaction can't be priced in USD, it's skipped, never guessed.
A Hyperliquid deposit is the USDC leaving your wallet for the bridge, and that is what rounds up; the perp fills inside Hyperliquid are not on-chain payments. A Polymarket position is the pUSD leaving your wallet on Polygon.
Where does the money come from?
The wallet that spent, on the chain it spent on. Every wallet on your account is a Centurion wallet, so nothing has to be approved or parked in advance:
- Stablecoins first: USDG on Robinhood Chain, USDC on the other chains. No conversion.
- Otherwise the chain's own coin: ETH, BNB, AVAX or POL, converted at the Chainlink price, never more than 1% worse. On chains with no USD feed for their coin yet, a stablecoin is the only source.
Round-ups paid on another chain are credited to your pot on Robinhood Chain immediately: Centurion fronts the credit from its own float and brings the money home later. You never wait for a bridge and never pay for one. Details on the Chains page.
Why we wait for $10
A 65-cent trade would lose too much to fees. The default is $10. You can raise it in Setup; it cannot go below $10.
What are Stock Tokens?
Stock Tokens are tokenized instruments that track the price of an underlying stock. They provide economic exposure only; they are not shares and confer no ownership or shareholder rights. Centurion is not affiliated with Robinhood.
